Global Warming

Yes we all know it's happening and its not a lie either. Yet some of us come to believe that global warming is the warming of the atmosphere. Yes it would sound to be correct because the name of it is global warming but what scientist mean by global warming is the ice caps melting. They mean nothing about the earth warming besides the fact that it is warming the ice caps. This problem is a bigger controversy than people come to think. If the ice caps up north and down south melt that would most likely flood the earth because FYI people. there is more water than land and adding just more and more water from melting will put us underwater eventually. Yes the world has been under water before, we all can come to that conclusion with Pangaea. But we can't just let it occur and we all live underwater and hope for it to just freeze again. Yes we could get through a ice age but do we want to? NO! We need to do something about this big problem that's right in our backyard creeping up on us. So come on people read about it and do something to fix it.

I don't believe in global warming. To me it's only a politician's scheme to raise taxes more. How can the Earth be warming if there are holes in the Ozone layer that are releasing the heat rather that holding it in? What was The October Surprise? Why are our winters getting colder (The Almanac predicts winters like 1978 in the near future.)It is a puzzle that seems to be missing several key pieces.

I think that Global Warming is a serious issue too, yet I don't believe there would ever be a way to stop it now. We are way too reliant on things that have helped to cause it, and our independence is only shrinking. It would be impossible to get enough people to stop doing what they do everyday that made this problem to actually make a difference. Pointless.

Yeah my look on it is that i do not have to believe or worry about it becasue i do not think that the world is in any serious danger. Everything happens for a reason.

Ehhh, i don't really believe in this "global warming" stuff. I mean, the Earth goes through phases of seasons, for example, some years will be hotter than others, and some will be colder. These phases take hundreds of years to complete, though, and we have only been taking records of heat for about 150 years. This could be just a natural phase, idk...

The earth has gone through many warming/cooling cycles throughout its history. We all can agree with this. The problem today is that the climate change that the earth may be going through may be caused (or at least heavily influenced) by human activity. Take carbon for example. What took millions and millions of years for the earth to capture, we are releasing in just 100 years. This is a fact. What is not clear is what effect this will ultimately have on the earth's climate. Global warming may actually cause much of the earth to become cooler. It is a complex issue for sure. If we are not careful we may discover that our activities are causing an undesirable change that we may not be able to reverse. If we are not careful, we may have to find a new place to live. Mars anyone? Indeed, it may be the cockroaches that inherit the earth!!!!
